3mm Carbon Fibre Rod

High precision pultruded carbon fibre rod measuring 3mm in diameter. Small diameter rod like this is reasonably easy to bend over longer lengths but offers considerably more stiffness over shorter lengths. Suitable for a range of applications in model-making, radio control and UAVs, as well as creative uses in art and fashion. The rod is manufactured to tight tolerances using high strength carbon fibre and an epoxy resin matrix for maximum performance.

The rod is available in 1m and 2m lengths.

Due to its incredible strength and light weight, carbon fibre rod is used in a wide range of applications including aerospace and motor racing but perhaps its most common use is recreational sports equipment, like kites and radio controlled models.

Our carbon fibre rod is manufactured to engineering tolerances from pultruded unidirectional carbon fibres which means that all the strength of the rods runs laterally along their length.
