Resin Infusion & RTM Component Manufacture

Vacuum resin infusion, RTM & RTM Lite is a commonly used method of manufacture in composites.

The laminate is placed into the mould as a dry cloth and then once infusion media and other consumables have been added, the whole part is vacuum bagged, ready for the resin infusion to take place. 

We often describe this process as a black art that can only be mastered from years of experience. 

Resin infusion is often used for thick laminates and larger composite structures, such as boat hulls, bucket seats, car bodies, etc.
